"1.  Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me:  It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

"2.  Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. ...

"7.  For I would that all men were even as I myself.  But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

"8.  I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

Hello Brother Dean:

It was nice to hear from you again. I remember with delight our time of fellowship together in French out on our patio. I recently returned from a powerful time of ministry in Ghana and in Togo. The Lome events were overwhelming. I was never able to even pray for the sick during the great crusade in the stadium (which the President gave to us to use free). The people would begin raising canes, crutches and wheelchairs in the air while I was still preaching. It was wonderful. I hadn't been there since 1959.

I expect to be ministering in France from Aug. 21-31 . The many African pastors have invited me, and for some reason, the French pastors and the Gypsy pastors are showing very strong interest. Maybe I will have the opportunity to sow some seeds of love among them. I've said for a long time that the leaders and believers of France (and of Europe) need a new baptism of love for each other. We don't have to agree doctrinally to have fellowship, but they haven't learned that.) Believe with us that we can express truths that will bear great and rich fruit The terribly destructive riots by young terrorists have shaken up France. I hear echoes that the government is really troubled, and that they are relaxing their sharp pressure on the non-historic and charismatic Christians and churches, because the riots are emphasizing the fact that the influence of the Gospel is needed.

Anyway, we will do what we can and help as much as they will allow us to. We are having some important breaks. We've been able to engage a very popular auditorium seating about 4,000 for the seminar and a very noted public park for the crusade, so these things count in France. Pray for us.

By the way, my purpose in responding to you was to compliment you on your discussion with the Mormons. It is very interesting, and it will be a big help to Christians who may not have had the occasion to study Mormonism, and they need to be aware of the facts that you have pointed out in a non-argumentative way. Congratulations! You really handled them kindly.

May God bless your ongoing ministry within the camp of ORU which is a wonderful field of opportunity to help people with knowledge that will make their lives richer and more productive.

Always, your special friend, and co-worker with Christ,

T.L. Osborn
